New Interviews on YouTube and Podcasts Channels!

Did you know we’re on YouTube and Podcasts now?

Hey everyone and I hope you’re all keeping safe and well at the moment! It’s certainly been a testing time for the martial arts industry, but the way we have come together to help and support one another is awesome!

It’s also given many the chance to get projects set up that would otherwise have been postponed…again!

This can certainly be said for myself for instance! During lock-down I have re-released Martial Masters Volume 1 available now on Amazon in paperback form, and I can now happily say that Martial Masters Volume 2 is now written! 16 interviews with some truly world class martial artists from all around the world – it’s going to be something very special! Release date for this is looking to be around Spring 2021 so keep an eye out and subscribe to The Martial View to get first glimpse when it drops on Amazon!

In addition to this, I’ve been busy interviewing all sorts of other top martial artists, health professionals and generally interesting people for the YouTube channel and Podcast channels.

New interviews will be released every Friday from now on leaving me enough time to get some truly awesome names involved and not rush anything, so check out a few of our most recent interviews below 😀 all of which are now available on YouTube and Podcasts.

First up we spoke to Fight Dad Harry Flexman on his online courses. Check out his fantastic online courses here
Our next interview was with Andy Gibney of Unified Fight Systems. A master instructor in Jeet Kune Do under Richard Bustillo and 6th Grade Black Belt in Doce Pares Eskrima! A very interesting guy for sure!

Podcasts and building the YouTube channel has certainly kept me sane and busy this lock-down, in combination with the book and keeping my academy treading water! So thank you everyone for the support for The Martial View – I hope it continues to build and grow with the help of all you lovely people. My email is always open if you wish to see something, or have an idea for an interview or topic – so get in touch! I am just one man so give me some ideas too! I have limited brain power!

I have some great ideas for future content for the YouTube channel too so make sure you subscribe to us and never miss an episode! Trust me it’s going to be cool!

Martial Masters Volume 1 Re-release and Volume 2!

We are back!

We are back everyone and so is Martial Masters! It’s been a crazy time recently with my academy having to close again due to the Covid-19 pandemic so I have been busy organising my academy and it’s online presence for my members!

I’ve also been super busy with some other projects we’ll get on to in a moment! But firstly *drum roll please*

MARTIAL MASTERS VOLUME 1 – IS BACK AND NOW AVAILABLE!

Back in 2016 myself and good friend Lucci Del-Gaudio published our first book Martial Masters Volume 1. This was an important book for us, showcasing the lives and careers of 15 top martial artists based in the UK. Just before Christmas 2020, myself and Lucci spoke and decided it was time to re-launch the book, especially as 2 of the participants are unfortunately no longer with us. RIP Tony Pillage and Scott Caldwell. We thought it was important that their words and thoughts be available to people on a global scale if they wanted and so, after a battle with Amazon, I re-released the book just before Christmas on all Amazon channels.

Sales have been steady and positive and solidified the fact that re-releasing the book was a good idea. I’ve had some great feedback from people purchasing the book, interestingly some who have no interest in martial arts – just like hearing about people’s lives! This is certainly a book for that with characters such as Tony Pillage, battling cancer at the time of speaking to him, to Andy Norman and his tales of working in Hollywood, to Eddie Quinn and the brutal stabbing that led to his journey in martial arts. You don’t need to be a martial arts fanatic to enjoy this book – but it definitely helps!

From this, the idea of Volume 2 was born. Lucci is very busy with his Kaizen seminars planned for later in the year all being well, so I decided to take this project on myself during lock-down. 16 International Martial Artists – all with a combat sport focus this time. Pioneers of MMA who were fighting Vale Tudo before the UFC, Stick-fighting world champions, BJJ Black Belts and coaches with students in the UFC are included.

This Volume is going to be off the scale! All names are now in place and I have 3 more interviews to do before the book is ready to be put together! I’m hoping for Volume 2 to be available early Spring 2021 all being well, again available on Amazon.

So that’s what I’ve been up to folks… Apologies for not writing as much as usual but it’s been a busy time! I’ll now be back more regularly, so make sure you sign up to our email list, and you can grab a copy of Martial Masters Volume 1 here.
